Tardive Dyskinesia is a movement disorder that can cause speech impairment and movement tics. Tardive Dyskinesia (TD) is a result of damage to the bodily systems that process dopamine, and is typically caused by exposure to certain neurological medications - including Reglan. The symptoms of TD mimic those of Parkinson’s disease and are irreversible and incurable, but speech therapy can help patients suffering from speech impairment due to TD.
